Ram Navmi celebrations : Ahead of Ram Navmi on April 17, the Ram Mandir Trust has issued an appeal to devotees, advising them to refrain from visiting the Ayodhya temple in Uttar Pradesh for the celebrations. Instead, they are encouraged to watch the live telecast on Doordarshan. The appeal aims to prevent a massive influx of devotees in Ayodhya, as millions are expected to gather for the celebrations, marking the first Ram Navmi since the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in January.
Ram Mandir Trust Urges Devotees to Watch Ram Navmi Celebrations on Doordarshan
The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has announced plans to set up LED screens at approximately 100 locations for the live telecast of the rituals at the Ram Mandir, ensuring that devotees can witness the festivities from various parts of the city.

“Ram Mandir will remain open for 20 hours on April 17 to ensure that every devotee gets darshan of Ram Lalla. Seven queues will be formed to streamline the movement of devotees,” said Champat Rai, President of Vishva Hindu Parishad.
Security measures have been intensified in and around the city to manage the large influx of devotees and ensure the smooth execution of the festival. The police administration has stated that all necessary security measures are being implemented.
The Ram Navami Mela, which began on April 9, will continue until Ram Navami. The mela grounds have been divided into seven zones and 39 sectors, with traffic management organized into two zones and 11 clusters.
To monitor the movement of vehicles and devotees, 24 cameras have been installed at key locations throughout Ayodhya Dham. Additionally, CCTV cameras will assess crowd levels and determine necessary traffic diversions at different locations. Five hundred sixty cameras will be installed in various control rooms across Ayodhya Dham to ensure the smooth flow of devotees.
For devotees unable to visit Ayodhya in person, the live telecast on Doordarshan provides an opportunity to participate in the celebrations while ensuring their safety and well-being. As the festival approaches, authorities are working diligently to facilitate a memorable and secure experience for all devotees.
